This course contains the theory of all instruments and instrument systems used for flight and navigation of an aircraft. The student will develop an understanding of avionics at the systems level and how data is transferred in those systems. The student will develop an understanding of computer systems in the aircraft and their function as it relates to the operation and maintenance of the aircraft. In addition, the student will be exposed to real world aviation databases, which they will encounter in the workplace and develop an understanding of one or more specific avionics systems utilized in today’s aircraft.
