Experienced Instructors

Before joining UTI/MIAT, all instructors are required to have a combination of field experience and training sufficient to meet accreditation standards and regulations in the states in which the school is licensed or approved to operate. Due to their experience and training, UTI/MIAT instructors are able to share information and insights with students that otherwise might take years to learn on the job. UTI updates its instructors through a variety of seminars and workshops that keep them abreast of new technology so they can pass that knowledge along to students. Instructors also continue their education and improve their teaching skills through training provided by the Center of Excellence in Education.

All of UTI’s Aviation maintenance instructors are required to hold an FAA mechanic certificate with one or more appropriate ratings (airframe/powerplant). Our Wind Power instructors must follow the required GWO qualification processes, in addition to any applicable national legislation and regulations.
