This course teaches students to write effective academic essays for various audiences. Students develop written communication skills with emphasis placed on the principles of effective communication, which includes, understanding the writing process, critical reading and logical thinking skills. In addition to reviewing the writing process, students learn research techniques, citation techniques, documentation formats and critical analysis of written topics.
