1. In the case of a withdrawal for any reason, the following will be used to calculate the student’s refund:
a. Before the start of class all tuition payments will be refunded entirely, including any deposits. The institute will retain the non-refundable application fee up to $150.
b. After the start of class, all tuition payments will be refunded at the prorated amount, based on the percentages of paid segment completed, should the student withdrawal before 50% completion of the course. The institution will retain the non-refundable application fee up to $150.
c. Supply fees will only be refunded if all supplies are returned unopened and unused. Nonrefundable fees for goods and/or services provided by third party vendors purchased on behalf of the student are permitted if the institution is not able to reuse the equipment or cancel the service.
d. For first-time students withdrawn during the first week of the enrollment period, the school will retain $350 plus the amounts listed in #8.
2. In all instances of a student terminating or being withdrawn, UTI will retain the registration fee and charge an administrative fee of $100 in addition to the percentage of tuition to be retained shown above in the Institutional policy.
3. Refunds of less than $5 will not be made. By signing this agreement the student authorizes the Institute to retain refunds of $5 or less.
4. If a refund is due, monies will first be returned to the Federal Title IV Programs in their required order, and then to other funding sources such as private loan programs or agencies which have made payments, with any remaining refund then provided to the student or parent as applicable.
