To participate in online course content, a computer laptop is required for all programs, except Welding Technology (the Welding Specialist program at UTI-Canton does require a laptop). During the registration process, students can choose from the following options:
Option 1: Purchase a UTI Laptop (meets all minimum requirements outlined below).
Option 2: Students may opt to bring their own device that meets the minimum requirements outlined below. Chromebooks, MacBooks, and devices running Windows 11 SE will not work for the HVACR, Electrical & Electronics, or Robotics & Automation programs.

- Broadband Internet connection with a speed of 10 Mbps or faster. 15 Mbps recommended for the Electrical & Electronics programs.
